Sunghosts are a trio out of Miami with a surprisingly indie sound. We haven’t heard a lot out of FL lately, so we’re pretty stoked. The guys released their first EP, Phosphenes, and it’s clear they’re coming out of the gate strong. Our personal favorite ,”Til the City Goes Under”, shows definite hints of Wavves and Julian Casablancas as influences. Singer and writer, Nik shares the story behind the track: "Before I wrote "Til the City Goes Under", I conducted a survey amongst my young Miami friends asking what they thought of the city and used the results to pen the lyrics for the song. Some escape to the north after they’ve finished school because they can’t stand it here, some stay with high hopes of changing the city for the better, and the others just sit around and wallow in complacency never really contributing to a greater good, ‘till the city sinks to the ocean." Be sure to check out their Facebook and keep an eye out for what’s to come.
